Fascinating and macabre: the preservation efforts to save Scott (of the Antarctic)'s hut in pictures on the BBC. And to lighten the mood but give you an idea of the legacy of Scott's misison, Monty Python's Scott of the Sahara:

Also on a light-hearted note, Tesco are selling the original blend of tea Scott took with him to the antarctic in 1910. 10p from every pack sold goes to the Antarctic Heritage Trust and the campaign to save Scott's hut. It's rather nice tea, I have to say!

Monty Python is legendary. A piece of history, which is also good for teaching history.
