Expose Yourself to Art Part Deux

So, you'll remember that great image I posted a few days ago?  Well Judith Haemmerle, from San Francisco State University, has been in touch with the back-story.  Apparently the poster was devised to promote the art museum in Portland, Oregon.  The 'flasher' is one Bud Clark, inn-keeper and mayor of Portland, between 1985 and 1992.  I wonder how effective the poster was at drumming up business?!

My uncle has the poster hanging in his house. It (along with the posters of Klimt's nudes) caused me great embarassment when I was a sheltered and prudish teenager, but I think it's really cool now.
