A limited number of competitive scholarships to Museums and the Web 2010 have been made available by Extensis to professionals especially interested in Digital Asset Management. Winners will receive $250 towards MW2010 registration.
Scholarships will be awarded on an ongoing basis until the limit is reached. The Deadline for Applications is March 19, 2010.

Extensis will be offering a workshop during the conference on Digital Asset Management Best Practices. All the scholarship winners will be entitled to a place in that session. Some additional spaces will be available for free. If you are interested in attending this workshop, please let us know by email to MW2010 [at] archimuse [dot] com so we can reserve a place for you.
Note: Scholarships cannot be used to reduce the price of an existing MW2010 registration, but can be applied to an additional regustration from your institution.
The Attic (a name which commemorates our first physical location) is, first and foremost, a site for the research students of the School of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester: a virtual community which aims to include all students, be they campus-based and full-time, or distance-learning and overseas. But we welcome contributions from students of museum studies - and allied subject areas - from outside the School and from around the world. Here you will find a lot of serious stuff, like exhibition and research seminar reviews, conference alerts and calls for papers, but there's also some 'fluff'; the things that inspire, distract and keep us going. After all, while we may be dead serious academic types, we're human too.
